Finally! Debunking the Building 7 Claims of 9 – 11 Conspiracy Theorists ~ Evidence!

I'm touching on a topic I don't want to. I'm talking to the thousands of remaining “conspiracy theorists” who think they believe the attacks of 9-11 to be an “inside job.” Yes, dear future grandchildren, there were those who thought we did the 9-11 attacks to ourselves, in order to give the current U.S. government more power on a federal level.

(Well, in some ways, it did, just not for the reasons so many thought. So many people chased down the wrong rabbit hole.)

Anyways. The biggest claim yet remaining among most 9-11 conspiracy adherents has been and up until now, remained the hardest question to satisfy. The claim has been that burning debris from both buildings 1 and 2 set it on fire. After burning for hours the main support column finally gave way and the building came down.

Most followers of these nearly-popular “theories” Is a view from approximately North by Northwest of the Northwest corner of the building, and upon it, stake most claims. How many have ever seen the South side of the building? Have you seen images of the burning smoke on the South side? Can you imagine the heat, the intensity and the destruction from a mostly synthetics and petroleum products fire burning so long?

Does this Southern view look "unscathed" to you? Didn't think so. Now,  please shut up.

Steel doesn't need to be melted to lose its temper. Those carbon atoms can be lost with only sufficient heat. And it certainly doesn't need to be the entirety of the steel either. The World Trade Center buildings were not built as if they were old-style buildings. Engineers were trying something new. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to guess the engineers just never considered such a scenario.

Anyhoo. For those not satisfied with the public domain image from Wikipedia (Here's the link foryourself) then please, watch the video below to see the reason building 7 fell. Finally, some evidence to relieve the concerns of the more reasonable, rational folks who follow the 9-11 conspiracy theory crowd. The only hangers-on at this point will be those unwilling or unable to accept hard facts, or those with a book, t-shirt or video to sell you.

Simply Speaking April's A to Z Blog Challenge April 22, 2011 “S”

I was 12. I had wanted to die already, for a variety of reasons, for quite some time. I was alone, lonely, poor, hungry, dirty, and confused with misinformation, from those who knew not as well, themselves. On one of those odd, random days, in the junior high school library, I came across a book titled “Strangers Among Us,” by Ruth Montgomery. I checked it out with the lovely Ms. Cone, and read it immediately, and completely the first time that day, during the remainder of my classes.

What revealed to my young, impressionable mind was an offer of relief, release, freedom, and power, I found myself unable to resist a second reading, and this time with “notes.” Over the next two months, I would go to re-check this book out, a number of times. I now believe all of this to have been my most tragic of errors within my life.

Those who should peradventure a chance at reading this work will no doubt see the unmistakable come-on of only the chance to mentally frame one's own, young, already-beleaguered psyche to one of someone who only abdicates their own psychological autonomy/authority.

Whether this might have been intentional, for some reason - or not - Mrs Montgomery did me, and who knows how many other potential lives since, such great and grave dis-service that I should wish to see her book as the one and only book I would willingly burn every last copy of on the face of the Earth. To have authored such a tome of unhealthy self-hypnosis is, in fact, a reprehensible, and irresponsible act. To have planted this book into such a position of opportunity to reach the minds of young pre-teen kids, is an act only rivaled by those of the US CIA itself.

Whether such a harmful, destructive operation might be intentional, or merely the lack of true wisdom so abhorrently lacking within modern public education administration is irrelevant. My self examination has revealed this tidbit of my forgotten past to myself. Now, on to “reverse the polarity” (I have sooooo wanted any excuse to someday say that) and re-program myself, as simply Donald Pennington. Some day, people will search that name. (I really should market my self-examination procedures. Or, at least give them away on ad-supported pages. Suggestions, anyone? Comment, please and thank you.)

If you ever see anyone, anywhere, ever reading this particular book, please knock it violently out of their hands, hug them immediately, and tell them that, to give up at this point would be so foolish, and that all too many will need them to stop reading that bullshit right now. Say it loud and clear, too. Tell them it's going to be okay, even if you know you're lying. Tell them for me, would you, please? And say it in simple words which anyone could understand. Some things are too precious to let another person just throw away.

Atheism is not the enemy

Atheists are not anti-church. We atheists, the author being one, wish to convey one simple message both to the world at large, and to the churches of the world which decry us: We, are not your enemy. Non-believers are simply people who no longer choose to go along with any imaginary gods of any brand. We follow nothing with no evidence of existence.

But, in no way are we free-though inclined types against the idea of churches: As they do serve a purpose of excellent community centers. A church with a playground, and competent staff nearby makes for a fantastic place for children to play during the day. So much so, in fact, many churches find themselves opening up as a daycare, to legally and properly operate as such a facility. How can any atheist in their right mind be against a young family, able to access day-care, and both work?

Let's not forget food. Everything about a church screams “Food!” Even volunteer work helping a church, usually involves food. Get-togethers at churches quickly become pot-luck dinners. Weddings become receptions. Even funerals become a meal together, but maybe not everyone eats.

As the third and final point on why non-believers, whether called atheists or not, are not against churches: Emergencies and disasters. How many more tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricane, or other disasters does society need to see how fast a team of church ladies can get organized? Care packages, emergency blanket packs, and boxes of cookies are what some people live to do for the world. Churches allow that type of emergency-prepared mind-set an organized outlet for expression. We atheists deeply appreciate, and often participate with local churches, for this reason.

We non-believers have often availed ourselves of help from churches at times before. The obvious need for society to keep its churches, especially opposed to bigger bureaucracies from government, is due to such obvious needs the local church serves to fill for the community. There are no plans to ever do away with religion. We only ask public policies and laws reflect reason and sound judgment.
