Feel Like Beating the Crap Out of the NSA?

Nearly one year ago – June 5, 2013, Edward Snowden released his first piece of information exposing the domestic spying program of the NSA. It seemed like half the world was shocked by the revelation of a domestic spying campaign here in the “Land of the Free.” The other half sat back and regurgitated the phrase, “I have nothing to hide,” thoughtlessly and like a well-trained slave.

I truly believe there are many in the US government who might not be interested in power-lust. I say, “might not be.” But, for every decent, reasonable, thinking human in government, there are even more who can only make ecisions based on how it affects them and screw the founding documents, human rights, free expression or liberty. For each agent who might convince me to trust them, I know there are at least a dozen more who can not be...read the rest here, on Bubblews.

An Open Letter to Allegheny Township Police Assistant Chief L.J. Berg Re-post, Share, Please

Dear Chief L.J. Berg,

I've just finished reading a story about your ham-fisted, authoritarian response to a fellow American who exercised his right to protest and to speak freely. I want you to know, you are a disgusting example of abuse of power and do not deserve to wear the shiny badge or the costume which you do.

For those just now learning about this, here's the story: www.wpxi.com/news/news/local/man-facing-charges-hanging-american-flag-upside-do/nfx67/

You arrested one Joshua Brubaker for doing exactly what he is guaranteed to do under our nation's founding documents – protesting. While you and all others who lack the brain capacity to grasp the concept of free speech accuse Brubaker of “insulting” the flag, what you failed to understand is, the “desecration” of the American flag is precisely what those freedoms allow.

Here, let me give you the direct quote from our nation's founding documents: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/bill_of_rights_transcript.html

Chief Berg, we have you – on record – saying, “I was offended by it when I first saw it. I had an individual stop here at the station, a female, who was in the military and she was very offended by it.” Do you mind showing me where the Bill of Rights of our nation protect you, or anyone for that matter, from being “offended?”

You won't be able to find it, Chief Berg. Your sensitivities and lack of understanding are not protected. However, Mr. Brubaker's rights to speak, are: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_speech_in_the_United_States And, for your violation of his right to freely express himself, I can only hope you're forced to find another line of work where you get to impose your small-minded, petty authoritarianism on others and not on the citizens of your town.

Perhaps the local mall needs some additional security. You have no business wearing your costume or carrying a gun. A mall will support you in your clean-up efforts to control what others do, say or post onto a wall. Out in the real world, though, you have no business trying to control the words of others – only criminal behavior. Beyond this, you really need to keep your meat hooks off of others.

Actually, you just need to quit law enforcement. You're doing it wrong.

From a Friend; LG agrees to Washer Refund, but Lowes Throws a Kink

When my only months old LG washer went on the fritz in March all I wanted was to have it fixed. This meant replacing the power board within the display because of the damage from condensation. However, the repair to my washer created more problems than I ever had because of modifications to the new boards that were being manufactured. After many calls, and 3 visits from the A&E repairman, LG has decided to give me a refund. However, this is just another can of...read the rest, here.

I Want To Start A Few Small Free Libraries

Have you ever seen them on Facebook? Those little mini-libraries! Little miniature libraries, which sit on one post, from which neighbors can borrow or donate books, for others to read for free.

I wish I could legally use an image. I'll need to wait until I build one, I guess. They're not complicated, at all, really. I want to place them under awnings around Amarillo, Tx, in my neighborhood. I could re-introduc reading to a wealth of young minds.

Sponsors would fund it, too. I know of a few local businesses which would love to be seen supporting young, urban literacy.

My Room Is Complete

It took me about 5 straight hours of physical work total – and I've just recently slept the first mandatory 4 to make it official, but I finally have a room. This isolation is exactly what I've been needing.

It might not seem like much of a thing to most but I have not been able to close a door on the whole world in months. I haven't had a little space to regularly write for months. Life as been a bit of a struggle and I have missed this like I cannot describe in mere

My Next Great Long-Term Bubblews Experiment; Buying a Car

Here's an idea I know of already, but needed to be reminded of, by my Aunt &mysgeek . My Bubbles and/or other blog posts should benefit of it, my readers will benefit of it , ergo my bank balance should benefit of it too, to such an extent, Bubblews buys me a car.

It's do-able. We're only talking a grand or so, here. I'm a cheap date.

So beneficial is it, I'm aiming to buy said car with my Bubblews earnings, within just 3 months (13 weeks)! I think I'm even going to just have &Arvind “Buy Me This, in regards to a car. I'll want the evidence and who can't forget being mentioned someday, right?

Then, it would be “official.” Bubblews will have bought me a car. OOOooOOOOO I'm picturing a rich green car. Something gas-miserly. I will also have proof for my experiment too.

How's this experiment going to work, you say? What will I do to make my future posts so much more valuable, you ask? I'll tell you.

I posit, a brain will increase their earnings-per-post averages if they're...read the rest here.

Amateur Photography; Barns Around Georgetown, Kentucky

A fellow Bubbler once asked me to grab a few shots of some barns for her. Well, since I'm in Kentucky, there's no better chance to do just that.

The farms around here are amazing, although many of them no longer have what we might call a “barn” but rather, a metal building.

According to what a couple of these old horse farmers (horse ranchers?) around here tell me, the traditional wooden barn is now an endangered species. Most modern horse farms replace old barns with metal buildings and sell the barn-wood to artisans, furniture makers and flooring companies.

So, I guess grabbing a few shots of these old...go here for the rest and some more great pictures.

Today Is The Day I Must Leave; The Four Reasons

*UPDATE* In spite of my having just posted this earlier, I've encountered a delay. I will be taking off in the morning.

I must make it back up North to take care of some business for myself and for my four children. As much as I hate leaving Louisiana and Janet, I must go on the road for a good length of time. There are – for those of us fortunate enough to really live – sometimes more than it seems we can even do. But do it, we must.

Going from this world and back into that world is not easy. It is hard, lonely, sleepless work. But I have the best of four reasons to do it. I'm a fortunate man and I know it. Besides, I have nothing to fear. I am very well protected and very deeply...For the rest, go here.

A Much Better Boiled Egg

I love to eat. I bet you do too. And of all types of food, I find the common egg to be one of the most versatile and affordable food to enjoy. Were I ever stranded on a deserted island but able to have one food item available, I would hope it's eggs.

A friend told me about this on Facebook and via Pinterest, how to make a better-tasting boiled egg, which is also easier to peel. I never realized there was a need to improve the boiled egg but I gave this a try anyway. It works great.

The flavor is improved since the taste isn't boiled out through the rather porous eggshell. That much I understand. I don't yet understand the mechanics of why they're easier to peel. But who cares how it works. This is worth doing anyway. Here's how.

Rather than boiling your eggs in water, place them either in a muffin tin with no water so they don't move around, or just place them straight onto the rack. Bake them at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 to 30 minutes. That's all it takes.

At first, I thought they would explode. But that doesn't make sense. If they were going to explode from heat, wouldn't they explode in boiling water, since water is much denser than air?

Even with “taste” being as subjective as it is, I do detect a more pronounced and very enjoyable flavor. And yes, they're much easier to peel. I hope you enjoy this tip. Mucho gusto.
